Students, as a class, work to earn a reward by collecting HERO slips, marbles, pom-poms, etc.
Pink HERO slips are awarded to classes who do well in group settings (Specials, lunch, hallway, etc.)
Individual systems
Students collect HERO slips for good behavior
Slips can be saved up and cashed in for classroom rewards (sitting in the computer chair for a day, reading a book to the class, etc.)
Special blue HERO slips, awarded by Administration and varying in worth, may also be cashed in for special dog tags from the office every Friday during lunch
Students who end the day on blue (Reach for the Stars) are entered into a weekly drawing to win a dog tag
Golden Browsing Stick
Earned by classes at the end of the month that have collected the most points during Book Exchange
The class with the most points at the end of the year receives a prize
Go For the Green Celebrations
Weekly celebration for students who remained on green or moved up to to Reach for the Stars for the previous week
Extra 15 minutes of recess
Students who did not make the celebration must reflect on their choices and set goals for the new week
